We had a great time participating in the World Wide Knit in Public event. Thanks to all of the Knitting/Crocheting Workshop regulars for displaying some of their beautiful work. It was great to see some familiar faces stop by, as well as some perspective new members. Want to let everyone know that the Yonkers Riverfront Library Knitting & Crocheting Workshop ( 1 Larkin Center, Yonkers, NY 914-375-7966) will participate in the World Wide Knit in Public program again this year.  We'll be meeting in our beautiful atrium on Tuesday, June 12th from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.  Stop by to join us or just to see what we're all about......having lots of fun and developing new friendships while creating beautiful knitted/crocheted pieces.

Below is a picture of Marge, one of our members, modeling a scarf that she made. Marge ran out of yarn before the scarf was completed and was having a very hard time matching it. We were all keeping our eyes open when we went shopping but we did not see the same yarn. Luckily her sister was able to find another skein after a lengthy search. Oh...the perils of knitting!!!!!

EXCITING ADDITION

We had a great summer! I was surprised that there was such a good turnout at each workshop, considering summer vacations and the rain!

Goodbye to summer

We had a good group again today. This was the last day for some of our young members...school starts next week! Good luck and have fun in school this year. Where did the summer go?
As of September 15th, we will be the Yonkers Riverfront Library Knitting/Crocheting Workshop.
Yes, as of September 15th you can stop by the Yonkers Riverfront Library (914)-375-7966 to learn how to knit or learn how to crochet.
Just bring your own knitting materials and the lovely ladies in our workshop with show you how to get started or help you complete a project you are already working on.
The crocheting group will be working on a simple project. We'll supply the materials for this first project in the new workshop. Of course, you can bring your own materials if you have them.
That's Tuesday mornings, from 10:00 am - 11:30 am.
We'll be meeting in Community Room B on Tuesday, September 8th.

WE'RE ON FOR TOMORROW

Tuesday is rolling around again, so just a reminder that the Yonkers Riverfront Knitting Workshop will be meeting in the Riverfront Library. We'll be in the Yonkers Room on the 4th floor again.
